The Degrassi cast returned from its hiatus today to begin readthroughs on episodes 1229/1230 (Lovefool Pt. 1 and 2) and 1231/1232 (TBD). As glad as I am to see them back on set I don’t really care to speculate or even think about these episodes at the moment. We won’t get to see any of these until Spring 2013, plus we’ve still got an entire block of fall episodes (12B) to get through!! The Fall block begins on Friday, October 12th, and Degrassi will be sliding back to its old timeslot of 9pm EST.
Degrassi should wrap up filming of Season 12 sometime in November. The Degrassi writers made their final pitch for the season finale a couple of weeks ago, so they’re still in the process of writing episodes 1233-1240.

All I know is that Lovefool is about a man falling out of love with his lady and shes still in love with him and wants to know why he left. etc….. I think she feels like a fool. But knowing Degrassi anything can happen…… I bet there are going to be 2 break ups at the end of 12B.

I have a feeling it will have something to do with Drew and Bianca getting married. Plus the word “fool” is in there so it has to involve Drew haha
To be honest, I’m not excited for this episode because it is written by Matt Huether, who wrote “Touch of Grey” -.-

I could be any couple that includes Eclare, Drianca, Caya and many more. We still have no clue whats going to happen in the fall block yet. What Melinda said in the read through kind of spooked me. She said the story is wicked.??

I was wondering which summer block do you like the most now: The Boiling Point or Showdown? Anyone else can answer too. I love everyone’s opinions. :)

The Boiling Point had a great vibe to me, like how everything felt connected. Now or Never had some outstanding storylines. Showdown had pretty much 90% episodes that were great/A-worthy. If I had to rank them, I think I’d say Showdown is the best, then Now or Never, then The Boiling Point (such a hard decision since they’re all spectacular!)

I think The Boiling Point was great in that they wasted no time getting into the drama, and so many characters that we really couldn’t care less about beforehand were finally thrown into the mix and given some incredibly shocking storylines which the show probably didn’t even consider tackling during the slump of Seasons 8 & 9. It was interesting how certain plots which were in no way connected throughout the block all seamlessly came together for the climax in All Falls Down, and the events of all 3 relationships in the finale (Eclare, Dralli, Savvy J.) led to the crackdown. Now Or Never was absolutely phenomenal at continuing story arcs and not just wrapping things up right away. The plots that really stood out last summer were the gang plot, the Tyson situation, Eli’s breakdown and Holly J.’s illness.. Now Or Never was just generally more emotional and extremely tearjerking the whole way through, whereas The Boiling Point was more shocking and fast-paced. Showdown was brilliant. There were just so many things happening alongside each other that all tied into the recurring theme of homophobia. Despite that, I like how Showdown wasn’t just one big Showdown. There were showdowns between people and even people having “Showdowns” within themselves. I’d say Now Or Never was the best for me, but both Showdown and The Boiling Point were fantastic as well.

My favorite summer block was The Boiling Point. In fact, season ten was my very favorite in general. I don’t really know how to describe… I just thought it had the perfect mixture of drama and comedy for me. I mean, obviously Degrassi isn’t a comedy show, but I still found that season really funny. It had the ability to be both dark and light;

What I loved about Showdown the majority of the characters were dealing with personal issues within themselves with the logic of their friends. Eli listen to Imogen about helping Clare the right way. Alli for once listened to her head and heart about going to MIT. Dave was strong and walked away from Alli because he knew they have changed. Katie finally moving on also totes for her to realise what she did to Drew was childish. Clare to me has not changed she still thinks like a bad romance novel with her relationship with Eli. After she said forever always to Eli after he said I love you, makes me worried about her. I hope she understands sometimes being in love also means you may have to let go….. Te other thing that bothers me why did Eli take 10 steps back with Clare. I really wanted Eli to move on and leave that past behind to make anew. I still feel that Clare will hold Eli back on this therapy. I also have this feeling in my gut that Eli has not told his therapist or his parents hes back with Clare. I think his parents and therapist will have a problem with him dating Clare. We all know Eli can date but Clare is a different issue.

ya, but i think eli can handle their relatioship now. I mean, he didnt flip out when he found out that clare has been lieing to him and she got sexually harassed. He has grown alot and he can probably handle his bi-polar disorder now. Also, eli is going to leave after he graduates anyway and he is aware of that which also shows that being with clare won’t automatically trigger his bipolar. I agree that he probably didnt tell his parents or therapist but maybe they wont have such a big problem with it. Like anyone else, they will have a problem with it, but they cant baby him. Eli is more than cabable of taking care of himself and deciding whats best for him. Eli has his anxiety undercontroll so its not a problem. I guess we will just have to see what the writers come up with.

As long he keeps taking his medication and doing his therapy. Let me remind some fans Eli’s medication is not 100%. it can’t contol his anger and jealousy issues. If he accidently forgets his diet and exercise regiment it can cause issues too. Keeping my fingers crossed he keeps taking his meds. The reason I know this my sisters ex husband is bipolar and he still was a bit off and he is on meds. He likes to start fires . Yeah thats why my sister left him.

Different people have different reactions to medication. Just because your sister’s ex-husband’s meds aren’t that affective doesn’t mean the same applies to Eli.

Alli, Im sorry A few of my friends family members are bipolar too. Eli will never will be 100%. And yes everone is different but the one thing that these meds can contol is the anger. Please read up on this mental illness. My bestfriends mother is a psychiatrist. She said that the medication balances the serotonin in the brain not the anger and jealousy. We saw that twice with Eli a few times with Imogen. Also with Clare at Fionas
party. And he was on his meds as again Eli will never be the same. Sorry Eli fangirls.
